Walgreens Names <br />Starbucks Executive, Roz Brewer , Its New CEO.<br />Walgreens announced that Brewer will <br />step into the new role on March 15.<br />The move will make Brewer the only Black <br />woman to lead a Fortune 500 company.<br />Starbucks announced Brewer’s <br />departure as the company’s <br />chief operating officer on Tuesday.<br />During her time at Starbucks, <br />she revamped stores, helped <br />expand the company’s rewards <br />program and pushed for diversity.<br />Brewer shared that she is looking forward to <br />venturing into the health care industry, especially <br />as Walgreens deals with the coronavirus pandemic. .<br />I step into this role with great optimism for the future of WBA, Roz Brewer, via statement
