The poor waterfowl from Lake Lowell in Idaho is recovering nicely from the foul play that left it swimming around with the projectile lodged in its head.<br /><br />Lake Lowell Animal Rescue was called about a month ago but was unable to rescue the duck until Boise State University grad student Matthew Gillikin stepped in with a net gun.<br /><br />He said he built the net gun for a senior capstone project, whose goal was to either do something to help the community or help solve a problem.<br /><br />And the wounded duck definitely had a problem.<br />Dr. Karlee Hondo-Rust, a veterinarian at Treasure Valley Veterinary Hospital, said the duck is doing well after receiving pain meds and antibiotics.<br />
