A gas main fire caused flames to shoot out of manholes in South Harlem Friday, officials said.<br /><br />The blaze broke out just before 1:30 pm at West 114 Street and Seventh Avenue, according to fire officials. <br /><br />The call went to a second alarm to help check the surrounding buildings.<br /><br />Con Edison was on scene and shut off the gas line, according to the FDNY.<br /><br />As of 4 pm, an FDNY spokesman said the incident was “de-escalating.”<br /><br />No injuries were reported.
