‘Powerpuff Girls’ Live-Action <br />Series Headed to The CW.<br />The live-action take on the popular <br />Cartoon Network show was announced <br />as being in development last August.<br />The new series will follow Blossom, Bubbles <br />and Buttercup as disillusioned twenty-somethings <br />bitter about their crime-fighting childhoods. .<br />Diablo Cody and Heather Regnier <br />will write and executive produce.<br />The original animated series ran <br />from 1998 through 2005 and was <br />rebooted on Cartoon Network in 2016.<br />The CW has not yet <br />announced a release date
