Johor Police arrested seven individuals suspected of stealing electricity from Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) worth RM8.6 million to mine bitcoin in the state.<br /><br />In a press conference today, state police chief Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay said the arrests were made following a two-day operation with TNB's special engagement against losses (SEAL) team. <br /><br />Police also confiscated 1,746 bitcoin mining machines worth RM2.6 million.<br /><br />According to Ayob Khan, the mastermind of the operation is still at large.
