Snow has been blanketing the Middle East over the last few days, an exceptionally rare event in countries like Israel, Lebanon and Jordan. <br /> <br />Some areas around the city of Jerusalem in Israel have seen up to 15cm of snow, while a resident in Lebanon said that he hasn’t seen anything similar in at least the last eight years. <br /> <br />Blizzard conditions brought the daily commute in Istanbul to a grinding halt, while roads have been blocked and traffic disrupted in Syria.
