Amitabh Bachchan confirms release date of Jhund, calls it a comeback <br /><br />Jhund Gets A Release Date, Amitabh Bachchan Calls It A Comeback<br /><br />Veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan's forthcoming sports drama 'Jhund', helmed by Nagraj Manjule, will hit the big screens on June 18, 2021.<br /><br />Jhund is based on the life of Vijay Barse, the founder of NGO Slum Soccer.<br /><br />In the film Bachchan plays a professor who motivates the street children to form a football team. The film also stars Akash Thosar and Rinku Rajguru in the lead roles.<br /><br />The biographical sports-drama is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Raaj Hiremath, Savita Hiremath, Nagraj Manjule, Gargee Kulkarni, Sandip Ssingh, and Meenu Arora under the banner of T-Series, Tandav Films, and Aatpat Films.<br /><br />Confirming the release date Big B wrote:<br /><br />“Covid gave us many setbacks...but it's comeback time now...!! WE'RE BACK IN THE THEATERS... "JHUND" releasing 18th June 2021 in THEATERS!!..."<br /> <br />The film was earlier scheduled to release in September 2020 but was pushed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.<br /><br />Big B, who was last seen in 'Gulabo Sitabo', currently the actor has three films lined up for release, including fantasy-adventure 'Brahmastra', Ajay Devgn's 'Mayday' and thriller 'Chehre'.
