SOUTH PADRE ISLAND, TEXAS — The polar vortex that caused record low temperatures and knocked out power and water across Texas has also paralyzed thousands of freezing sea turtles on the state's coast.<br /><br />National Geographic reports that it's the largest cold-stunning event ever documented in the U.S. since the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration started keeping records in 1980.
