A spokesman from Myanmar junta on Thursday claimed that ousted leader Aung San Suu Kyi had accepted illegal payments worth US$600,000 plus gold while in government.<br /><br />He said the information had been verified and many people were being questioned in the probe. <br /><br />The junta promised that an election would be held after investigations are completed.
