Instagram To Limit Interactions, Between Teens and Adults.<br />The new polices are aimed at making the <br />app more safe for teens and children.<br />Adults are now banned from <br />sending direct messages to teens, <br />unless that user follows the adult.<br />Teens who send direct messages to adults <br />will also receive "safety prompts" if the adult <br />has exhibited "potentially suspicious behavior.”.<br />These notices will encourage users to <br />“be careful sharing photos, videos, or <br />information with someone you don’t know.” .<br />Teen users who are new to the site will now <br />be encouraged to make their profile private.<br />Instagram is also instituting new AI technology <br />to attempt to detect the actual age of users <br />when they create a profile.<br />These policies will go into effect <br />this month in some countries. <br />They will be implemented globally "soon."
