HBO Signs 5-Year Deal<br />With ‘Game of Thrones’ Author<br />George R.R. Martin .<br />‘The Hollywood Reporter’ has reported a<br />five-year overall deal between ‘Game of Thrones’<br />author George R.R. Martin and HBO.<br />The deal is reportedly worth somewhere<br />in the mid-eight figure range.<br />It will see four-time Emmy winner Martin<br />developing content for HBO and HBO Max.<br />News of this deal comes on the heels of a number of<br />‘Game of Thrones’ prequels entering development. .<br />The network has five projects based<br />on Martin’s books in development and one<br />project that’s already been greenlit to series. .<br />Martin is an executive producer on all six projects and<br />is reportedly working closely with the writers on each.<br />Aside from ‘Game of Thrones,’ Martin is also executive<br />producing two series being adapted from novels for HBO.<br />They are, ‘Who Fears Death,’ which is based on<br />Nnedi Okorafor’s 2011 postapocalyptic novel, and ‘Roadmarks,’ which is based on Roger Zelazny's 1979 fantasy novel
