Amid corruption allegations by former Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh, Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh on April 05 submitted his resignation to Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray.<br /><br />His resignation comes in the wake of the Bombay High Court order directing CBI to probe preliminary investigations into the allegations made by Singh against Deshmukh.<br /><br />Singh, in a letter to Thackeray, had accused Deshmukh of instructing police officials including arrested cop Sachin Vaze to collect extortion money.
