U.S. Marines with 1st Battalion, 11th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, fired an M777 towed 155 mm Howitzer #Weapons System during a live-fire #Military defensive training. The training demonstrated an artillery battery directly engaging with a simulated visual enemy. <br /><br />The M777 howitzer is a towed 155 mm artillery piece. It is used by the ground forces of Australia, Canada, India, Saudi Arabia and the United States. It made its combat debut in the War in Afghanistan.
