Tesla Hits Solar Roof Customers<br />With Massive Price Hikes.<br />Tesla is reportedly raising the prices of its<br />solar panel installation program.<br />The Verge reported on April 14 that they<br />had spoken to one customer that recently<br />received a 69 percent increase in price. .<br />The anonymous customer’s original contract<br />for Tesla’s solar roof panels was $35,000,<br />with an additional $30,000 for the battery. .<br />Now, the customer's new contract puts<br />the price of Tesla’s service at $75,000, with<br />an additional $35,000 for the battery. .<br />In an email to the customer, Tesla reportedly said<br />he could “cancel his order” and receive a refund. .<br />Tesla also added that customers would<br />be prioritized based on the “order in which<br />they accept their updated agreements.”.<br />The Verge’s findings match another report<br />from Electrek that alleged Tesla had drastically<br />increased its Solar Roof prices. .<br />One anonymous customer revealed to Electrek<br />that their $77,000 contract from nine months ago<br />was now priced at $118,870
