PKR president Anwar Ibrahim is expected to give his statement to the police today in relation to an audio recording said to feature a conversation between him and Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.<br /><br />His lawyer Sankara N. Nair confirmed that Anwar had an appointment with the police at their Bukit Aman headquarters.<br /><br />“Based on the letter given to Anwar, he’s being investigated under Section 505(b) and Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act," he said.<br /><br />For the record, Section 505(b) of the penal code deals with statements related to public mischief.<br /><br />Both Anwar and Zahid denied the voices heard in the conversation were theirs.
