Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani has been appointed as the new inspector-general of police, effective next Tuesday (May 4).<br /><br />The new top cop received his appointment letter from Home Minister Hamzah Zainudin.<br /><br />He will be replacing Abdul Hamid Bador, whose tenure ends on Monday.<br /><br />At present, Acryl Sani's time as IGP is set to expire when he retires on Oct 3 this year.
