Former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad suggested for the general election to be held after the current Parliament term ends in 2023.<br /><br />Taking into account the current pandemic situation in the country, Mahathir warned there will be another Covid-19 wave should any election take place.<br /><br />He reminded all parties about the Covid-19 spike after the Sabah state snap polls in September last year, which should serve as a lesson to parties involved.
