The oxygen crisis continues in Jharkhand. Covid-19 patients are finding it difficult to get beds even as all ICU beds at government and private hospitals have already filled up. <br /> <br />There is chaos due to lack of oxygen at Ranchi Sadar Hospital and in Patliputra hospital, Dhanbad. A patient's family created a ruckus due to a lack of oxygen, following which, the critically ill patients were provided oxygen in a hurry. Families of 25 to 30 patients claimed they waited for the oxygen cylinder for hours. <br /> <br />India on Friday recorded a new high of 4,14,188 new Covid-19 cases, taking the caseload to 2,14,91,598, according to the Union Health Ministry, amid growing calls from several quarters for a national lockdown. <br /> <br />The Union health ministry numbers showed 3,915 deaths were reported in the past 24 hours, taking the overall toll to 2,34,083. However, 1,76,12,351 Covid-19 patients have recovered, with India's active caseload at 36,45,164.
