Bank Negara Malaysia has said that a blanket loan moratorium may not be the best solution for borrowers as a nationwide movement control order (MCO) returns. <br /><br />Governor Nor Shamsiah Mohd Yunus said borrowers should instead approach banks to help them meet their debt obligations.<br /><br />She said all banks already have their payment assistance plans, including targeted loan moratoriums.
