Covid-19 infections have witnessed a surge in rural areas amid the second wave of the pandemic. Around 2,000 villagers have tested positive in total of 27 villages in Barmer district. <br /><br />“It's true that there’s more infection in rural areas, nearly 70% positive cases are from villages. Medical teams are identifying positive cases, collecting samples and home isolating them,” said BL Vishnoi, CMHO Barmer.
