Samantha Akkineni Unveils The Trailer Of The Family Man 2<br /><br />It appears that the trailer of The Family Man season 2 did not go down well with a section of the public. Those who have raised objections against the web series feel that Samantha Akkineni’s militant character is being branded as a terrorist and that the Tamil community is being portrayed as terrorists.<br /><br />Soon after Samantha who is making her Hindi digital debut with the series unveiled its first official trailer, hashtags #FamilyMan2_against_Tamils, #ShameOnYouSamantha and LTTE began trending on 19th May.<br />The actress dropping the trailer on social media wrote:<br /><br />“Hope you like #TheFamilyManOnPrime trailer out now…”<br />https://twitter.com/Samanthaprabhu2/status/1394857859221913601 <br /><br />(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NGf_B81Hc2M)<br /><br />The trailer depicts middle-class spy Srikant Tiwari aka Manoj Bajpayee pitted against a new, powerful and brutal adversary named Raaji, essayed by Samantha Akkineni.<br /><br />The season will see Srikant continuing to jostle between the duality of being a middle-class family man and a world-class spy and trying to save the nation from an imminent attack.<br /><br />Packed with exciting twists and an unexpected climax, the upcoming season of the edgy action-drama series will give a riveting glimpse of the two worlds of Srikant.<br /><br />The series also stars Priyamani, Sharib Hashmi, Seema Biswas, Darshan Kumar, Sharad Kelkar, Sunny Hinduja, Shreya Dhanwantary, Shahab Ali, Vedant Sinha and Mahek Thakur.<br /><br />Helmed by Raj and DK, the show also features an incredible cast from Tamil film industry, including Mime Gopi, Ravindra Vijay, Devadarshini Chetan, Anandsami and N. Alagamperumal.<br /><br />The second season is set to premiere on Amazon Prime Video on 4th June 2021.<br />
