A funding boost of £3.2 million has been awarded to the University of Central Lancashire. <br />It will be used to fund continuing developments and innovations at the university, including partnerships with businesses and emergency services. <br />One such partnership is already underway with Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service and BAE Systems. <br />It could see new firefighting drone responses to wildfires as early as 2022.
