Mangaung residents sign agreement

2021-05-22 1 Dailymotion

Residents in the Mangaung Metro are back at work and school today , after an agreement was signed to end a two-day shutdown. The Free State municipality started the week with protests over poor delivery of basic services, such as road maintenance and incomplete construction projects. A group calling itself Mangaung Concerned Community is also fed up with a lack of jobs and business opportunities. Its leaders signed an agreement with the provincial government yesterday and a council meeting will be held this afternoon where a vote is expected on the suspension of the city manager. DA Leader in Free State Legislature, Roy Jankielsohn, discusses this. Courtesy #DStv403
