Every year, the nomadic Bakarwal community migrates from Jammu to Kashmir in search of pasture for their livestock. To make sure that their children are not deprived of education, mobile schools have been set up the government. These schools travel along with the tribe even in the high altitude region. These schools are short of basic facilities like a building or a tent. Gulzar and Ghulam teach at one such mobile school in Gabpathri. They believe it is important to balance both culture and education and thus, besides teaching they also tend to their flock and encourage their students to do the same.
