On Friday 29th January, clashes erupted at the Singhu Border between the agitating farmers and a group claiming to be locals of the area.<br />Police officials resorted to lathi-charge and deployed tear gas to quell the conflict.<br /><br />Several demonstrators from within Singhu's sit in protest site were injured in the conflict and they allege that the police did little to control the situation.<br />Meanwhile, police officials have been placing new barricades around the protest sites.<br /><br />The Wire speaks to the injured and the organizers at Singhu Border hours after the clashes took place. <br />(This story was shot on Friday, 29th January 2021)
