Google announced it is adding a new Gmail "Save to Photos" button.<br />This will allow emailed images to be automatically saved to Google Photos.<br />It will be located next to the existing "Add to Drive" button.<br />Initially, the "Save to Photos" button will only work for JPEG files.<br />The feature will be made available to personal Gmail users, Google Workspace, G Suite Basic and G Suite Business customers over the next couple of weeks.<br />Google Photos storage options are changing on June 1.<br />Unlimited "high quality" photo storage will soon be capped at 15GB.
