Greg Abbott Announces , Texas Will Build Its Own Border Wall <br />and Arrest Migrants.<br />Republican Governor Greg Abbott announced that <br />construction for the border wall will begin next week.<br />It is one of several new initiatives the state <br />will implement to address what Abbott<br />refers to as a "crisis" at the Texas/Mexico border.<br />Change is needed to <br />fix the border crisis, Gov. Greg Abbott, (TX-R), via CNN.<br />Abbott also announced that migrants who cross the <br />border and trespass on private property will be arrested.<br />When asked if children would be arrested, <br />Abbott specified that the measure <br />would only apply to adults.<br />The TX Governor issued a disaster declaration <br />last week, which mandates the enforcement <br />of federal and state criminal laws... .<br />and ends state licensure of shelters or child care <br />facilities that offer care to "unlawful immigrants."
