Washington Offers, Cannabis<br />Incentives , to Encourage COVID-19<br />Vaccinations.<br />Washington is officially moving to incentivize<br />its citizens to get the COVID-19 vaccination. .<br />The state’s liquor and cannabis board revealed<br />their 'Jabs for Joints' campaign on June 7. .<br />All adults age 21 and over will<br />receive one pre-rolled joint if they<br />receive the COVID-19 vaccination.<br />The complimentary joint must be taken at the time of vaccination - not at a later date or time. .<br />Bars have also been permitted to offer<br />one free alcoholic drink to customers who<br />provide proof of vaccination. .<br />The free drink incentive expires on June 30 and<br />the marijuana joint incentive expires July 12.<br />According to Washington Governor Jay Inslee,<br />66 percent of residents over the age of 16 have at<br />least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. .<br />Governor Inslee said<br />Washington will “likely<br />hit” its goal of 70 percent<br /> partial immunization<br />by June 30.
