Sumati Nayak, a centenarian woman, beat Covid in Nayagarh district's Khandapada area. The woman was infected on June 5 and was admitted to the Covid hospital near Khandapada after a complaint of dropping oxygen level. The doctor and nurses struggled a lot to cure her at the initial stage and as a result, she defeated the deadly virus. According to the District Collector Dr Poma Tudu, “On June 16, she was declared fit. She has been sent to her house”.
