Apolice inspector, identified as Parvaiz Ahmad Dar, was shot at by two unidentified terrorists around 8 pm on Tuesday. He, however, succumbed to his injuries later at a local hospital. Dar was shot at while he was going to offer prayers in Srinagar's Menganwaji Nowgam area. <br /> <br />IGP Kashmir, DIG CKR and SSP Srinagar arrived at the spot and inspected the scene of crime. <br /> <br />Preliminary investigation and CCTV footage revealed that the terrorists used pistols to fire at Parvaiz. Grievously wounded, Dar was shifted to a nearby hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries and attained martyrdom.
