Amid a rise in Delta Plus variant cases of Covid-19, the Centre declared Delta and its sub-lineages, including Delta Plus, as a variant of concern(VOC). <br />Meanwhile, the Centre on Wednesday confirmed 40 cases of Delta Plus variant in the country, a day after it alerted Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Kerala about the new variant.
