Twitter India Managing Director Manish Maheshwari has been booked by the Uttar Pradesh Police in connection with a case over a distorted map of India on the micro-blogging platform. <br /> <br />The FIR was lodged at the Khurja Nagar police station in Bulandshahr district on Monday evening on the basis of a complaint by an office-bearer of right wing Bajrang Dal. <br /> <br />Along with Twitter India MD Manish Maheshwari, the FIR names News Partnerships Head Amrita Tripathi as accused who have been booked under Indian Penal Code section 505 (2) (public mischief). <br /> <br />Meanwhile, former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh, who is alleged in a money laundering case, has been summoned by Enforcement Directorate (ED) again. This development comes after Deshmukh on Saturday refused to appear before the ED last week.
