Amid the ongoing tussle between Twitter and the Indian government, the Delhi High Court will today hear a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) seeking action against the microblogging platform for not complying with the new Information Technology Rules. <br /> <br />The plea, filed by Amit acharya, has raised the complaint that Twitter has not appointed a resident grievance officer. In an affidavit on Monday, Acharya said that he had come across some allegedly defamatory tweets, but when he sought to file a complaint, he could not find contact details of a grievance officer located in India on Twitter.
