The AIADMK's Thoothukudi unit allegedly passed a resolution calling on ousted leader Sasikala to take over as AIADMK general secretary and to lead the party. <br />Executives of all sections of the AIADMK in the Kovilpatti region of Thoothukudi district, including Rupam K Velavan, who was recently removed from the AIADMK, took part in the meeting. <br />At the meeting, the party workers also condemned the removal of those who had spoken to Sasikala on the phone from the AIADMK.
