Twitter has appointed Vinay Prakash as its Resident Grievance Officer for India, according to its website. <br />The micro-blogging site has also published its first monthly compliance report in accordance with the new Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021. <br />According to the report, Twitter suspended 22,564 accounts for promoting terrorism or sharing content that shows child sexual exploitation, non-consensual nudity, and “similar content". It also “actioned" 133 URLs that were reported by individuals along with court orders.
