Protesters chased Republican Reps. Matt Gaetz, Marjorie Taylor Greene, Louie Gohmert, and Paul Gosar out of their own press conference Tuesday.<br />The GOP lawmakers met outside the Department of Justice in an attempt to put pressure on Attorney General Merrick Garland for holding individuals arrested in relation to the January 6 attack on the Capitol, whom the lawmakers called ‘political prisoners.’<br />By the time Greene got to the podium to speak, protesters had taken over the press conference by waving signs, shouting, and in the case of one activist, blowing a whistle continuously.<br />One reporter on the scene followed the lawmakers as they fled the presser, capturing a protester repeatedly asking Gaetz, ‘Are you a pedophile?’ Gaetz is under a federal investigation by the DOJ for a possible sexual relationship with a minor.<br />Gaetz, Greene, Gohmert, and Gosar held the press conference on the same day that the select committee on the January 6 riot began its investigation. All four lawmakers have been outspoken in their opposition to the committee and their loyalty to former Pres.
