Meet the Philippines’ first Olympic medalist: <br /><br />Teófilo Yldefonso<br /><br />He won bronze at the 1928 Olympics held in Amsterdam, Netherlands where he participated in the 200-meter breaststroke.<br /><br />He also won another bronze at the 1932 Olympics held in Los Angeles California, USA.<br /><br />Teodoro is known as “The Father of Modern Breaststroke” by transforming the way the stroke was swum. <br /><br />He is currently a hall-of-famer pioneer at the Swimming World Magazine. <br />
