'Gabriela Alanis has amassed a decent following on TikTok with her talent of crafting customized rugs. <br /><br />The Austin-based textile artist shared: "I’m Gabriela, and I’m the person behind Rug Bruja! I started tufting in the summer of 2020."<br /><br />She added: "2020 is when I had just moved to Austin, TX from Chicago, IL, and was having a hard time meeting new people and going to new places due to COVID restrictions. So, I decided to pick up a new hobby to pass time and came across tufting.
