Biden Directs Secretary of Education to, Use ‘Legal Action’ , Against Anti-Mask Governors.<br />On Wednesday, President Joe Biden<br />announced that his administration<br />supports local school districts that<br />wish to implement mask mandates<br />and other COVID-19 safety measures.<br />Biden revealed that he had<br />officially given Secretary<br />of Education Miguel Cardona<br />authorization to use “legal<br />action” against governors<br />who are blocking schools<br />from doing so.<br />This includes using all of his oversight<br />authorities and legal action, if appropriate,<br />against governors who are trying to<br />block and intimidate local school<br />officials and educators, Joe Biden, via HuffPost.<br />He then warned anti-mask governors<br />that if they’re not going to help fight COVID-19,<br />they need to “get out of the way.”.<br />Biden went on to accuse politicians of<br />setting a “dangerous tone” by turning <br />“public safety measures” into “political disputes.”.<br />Unfortunately, as you have seen throughout<br />this pandemic, some politicians are trying to<br />turn public safety measures, like children wearing<br />masks in school, into political disputes for<br />their own political gain.
