The Selangor State Assembly (DUN) was told today that, so far, a total of 53,571 industrial workers were found to be positive for Covid-19 since July, through screening conducted at their respective workplaces.<br /><br />Selangor Menteri Besar Amirudin Shari said the screening was carried out by the employers as preparation before entering the workplace, close contact with positive co -workers, and the voluntary screening of the employees themselves at private health facilities.<br /><br />He said of the total industrial workers infected, 62% were workers in the manufacturing sector, amount to 33,214 people.
