Cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase ($COIN@US) announced that they would start to accept Dogecoin for commerce payments. This is yet another step towards legitimizing a cryptocurrency that started as a joke, but behind Elon Musk has seen actual value. Dogecoin was trading at 19 cents at press time.
