New Caledonia buries repatriated remains of indigenous Kanak chief Ataï<br /><br />The remains of Ataï, the leader of the Kanak revolt of 1878 and a symbol of resistance against colonisation, are buried in the mausoleum of La Foa, in central New Caledonia.
