Michael Nesmith is an American musician, songwriter, perhaps best known for his time in the musical group The Monkees and on the TV series of the same name. Nesmith recorded a number of LPs and had a moderate worldwide hit in 1977 with his song "Rio", the single taken from the album From A Radio Engine To The Photon Wing.
