Highlight's from the Blue Square North, 17th January 2009, at Croft Park. Blyth started brightly, but Fleetwood came into the game to look the better team in the 1st half. An injury to the referee saw the game stopped for about 10 minutes as another official was found. Half-time 0-0. <br />Adie WEBSTER made his welcome return to Blyth as a sub at the start on the 2nd half. Within 2 minutes Blyth had taken the lead through Shaun REAY. On 56 minutes, captain Gareth Williams made it 2-0 with a trademark free-kick. Fleetwood rarely threatened the Blyth goal in the 2nd half. In the first minute of 4 added on, Blyth broke quickly allowing Shaun Reay to neatly finish, getting his 2nd goal of the match, and making the full-time score 3-0. <br />This was Blyth's first game since their heroic exploits in the FA Cup which took them to the 3rd Round and a match at home against Blackburn Rovers. It was also their first win in the league since they beat Hyde Utd 3-0 on 2nd September 2008.
