The Congress passed a resolution at the legislature party meeting authorising party chief Sonia Gandhi to appoint a successor for Captain Amarinder Singh, who resigned as chief minister of Punjab. The party's high command called the CLP meeting, which was held in the Punjab Congress Bhavan in Chandigarh. <br /> <br />Addressing media after the CLP meeting in Punjab, Punjab Congress in-charge Harish Rawat said the party has sent two resolutions to the high command which were passed in the Congress Legislative Party meeting. <br /> <br />"We've sent two resolutions to the party high command which were passed in the Congress Legislative Party meeting today. We're waiting for their [party's high command] decision," Harish Rawat said.
