Last year in March, when COVID-19 lockdown was enforced in India, hundreds of companies shut their offices overnight and sent their employees home.<br /><br />In order to protect the employees from the lethal infection and simultaneously continue the businesses, all the companies adopted the Work From Home (WFH) concept.<br /><br />Now, with the daily Covid infections declining and India witnessing record number of vaccinations, the companies are apparently planning to end remote work policy.<br /><br />According to a national media, IT behemoth Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), which employs more than 5 lakh people, is reportedly planning to end work from home and return to the office by December this year.<br /><br />Reports suggest that initially the IT giant is planning to ask some of its employees to return to offices before switching to its hybrid model, under which only 25% of its staff will work from office by 2025, and the rest will be working remotely.<br />
