China on Friday repeated its increasingly frequent denunciations of the India, US, Australia and Japan Quad grouping ahead of the four countries’ first in-person leaders summit in Washington. <br /> <br />When asked about China's reaction to the Quad summit, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian said the grouping of four countries should not target any other country and its interests. <br /> <br />"China always believes that any regional cooperation mechanism should not target a third party or harm its interests. Seeking exclusive closed cliques against a third country runs against the trend of the times and aspirations of countries in the region. It will find no support," Zhao Lijian said.
