The Queen and Prince Charles have met with local schoolchildren at Balmoral, where they were shown tree measuring activities and admired some hand-crafted flower crowns. <br /> <br />As children showed off their woodland headpieces, Her Majesty joked: "It looks awfully uncomfortable … like a bird's nest!" <br /> <br />The Queen and the Prince of Wales also planted a tree to mark the start of the planting season for The Queen's Green Canopy.
