Four elected representatives from the Malacca state assembly today announced their decision to withdraw support for Malacca Chief Minister Sulaiman Md Ali and claimed the current state government had collapsed.<br /><br />The matter was announced in a press conference led by Sungai Undang state assemblyperson Idris Haron, himself a former chief minister, who like Sulaiman is from Umno.<br /><br />Also present at the press conference were Pantai Kundur assemblyperson Nor Azman Hassan, Pengkalan Batu assemblyperson Norhizam Hassan Baktee, and Telok Mas assemblyperson Noor Effandi Ahmad.
