Protesters with the New York Freedom Rally’s Teachers March against vaccine mandates made their way to the Australian Consulate on Monday, demonstrating against the country’s lockdown measures. <br /><br />Speeches were held outside the Midtown Manhattan skyscraper hosting the Consulate General office, with demonstrators chanting ‘Save Australia!’ throughout the afternoon. Videos of government measures and police responses to anti-lockdown protests in Australia have been circulating in recent months on social media in the US.<br /><br />An earlier protest outside the NYC Department of Education drew hundreds in Brooklyn, where the group then brought out Australian flags as they marched towards the consulate, roughly 150-200 protesting there after marching throughout the afternoon in the city.
